Let’s dive into this week’s topics:
💬ADVICE:
"The last three or four reps is what makes the muscle grow. This area of pain divides the champion from someone else who is not a champion." - Arnold Schwarzenegger
Champions don't give up when it's hard; they dig deep and keep going, because they know that's when the real growth happens.
When you're lifting weights, and you start to feel really tired, like you can't do any more. That moment when it gets tough, and you push through to do three or four more reps, that's golden.
That effort and a bit of discomfort?
That's your muscle getting stronger, growing. It's what separates the real achievers from those who just sort of try.
📖LESSONS:
Lesson 1: Consistency Over Intensity
Imagine getting fit is like watering a plant. Doing a little bit every day is like giving your plant a bit of water regularly - it'll help it grow healthy and strong.
But if you flood it with too much water all at once and then forget about it, the plant won't do well; it might die.
Similarly, working out a little every day is way better for your health than doing a super intense workout once in a while and then doing nothing for days.
Your body adapts and grows with regular, steady effort. So, aim to be like the steady, gentle watering - it's the key to growing strong and healthy.
Lesson 2: Listen to Your Body
Listening to your body is about paying close attention to how you feel during and after activities or eating certain foods.
If you experience pain during exercise, it's your body's way of telling you to stop or adjust your movement to prevent injury.
Feeling tired or sore after workouts is normal, but extreme or persistent discomfort is a sign that you need to rest.
Similarly, how your body reacts to foods can guide you toward healthier choices. If something makes you feel sluggish or unwell, consider avoiding it.
Always prioritize your body's feedback to maintain health and prevent harm.
